Not sure what happened but New Year, new posts...

 

In December I signed up for a swap...to make a themed concertina book for my partner based around the things I would wish for them in 2023....and then I got covid and it didn't get made until this week.
I chose to use plain white mixed media paper to make my pages and heavy card for the cover and, because it was a double sided concertina, I made a belly band to close the book. 

I used a variety of paint in blue and teal shades with some white added and I used inks in similar tones. Some freehand drawing, a little collage (butterfly and dried flowers) and some stencilling. I was pretty happy with how it turned out and I'm just hoping that my very patient swap partner felt it was worth the long wait. 

So my December swap became my first project of 2023 and I wish of of those things to everyone  who sees this.

I hope 2023 will be a creative one...
